My Fishing Boys

Garrett has been at a conference in Snowbird this past week and we have missed him! I remember so many times when the kids were little and not in school we would pack up and join him whenever he would have a conference at any resort in Utah...we've been to the Zermatt, Deer Valley and a few others. I'm always in for a spur-of-the-moment trip. It's more difficult now with the kids in school and all they are involved in, so we decided to spend the weekend together in Midway and it worked perfectly with football season being over and with a one-week break from soccer before McKenna starts indoor season.
One of the boys favorite things to do in Midway is fish the Provo river. Early Saturday morning, after a delicious breakfast, my dad, Garrett, Colt and Wyatt set out to catch some big ones. During their time on the river Wyatt fell in the river, my dad fell in the river...actually into a deep hole and luckily for him Garrett was close by to pull him out...a few fish were caught and they all came back satisfied and happy and a little wet. It's truly amazing to me what fishing does for Garrett...especially fishing with his kids. It is such a passion for him.

Later we went to pick up the big boys and I got these shots...I love this one of the kids and their dad fishing in the background - he's the tiny speck in the water :)
