Halloween 2009

This year, Wyatt knew exactly what he wanted to be - Spiderman...and he wanted dad to be the same. Luckily, we found a great Spiderman shirt for dad to wear out with his little buddy, Wyatt. McKenna was completely opposite of Wyatt...she did not want to dress up this year. She and her friend, McKahl, wanted to just go around jumping out of bushes and scaring everyone on Halloween night. I was a little sad that she was already at the age of not wanting to dress up and go trick-or-treating...but her mind was changed when we went out shopping for Ashlyn's costume and she fell in love with so many cute costumes, and then narrowed it down to one particular pirate, luckily McKahl loved the idea, too and also went as a pirate.Ashlyn and her friend, Breanne, have been planning to be detectives since August Colter and his buddy, Kobe, went as dead football players - pretty dang easy! The kids wanted to dress up Chopper in a Yankees costume in honor of the Yankees playing in the World Series, but $40 bucks for a dog costume just isn't very practical! I love that Halloween was on a Saturday...plenty of time to get ready for the night. Grandma and grandpa Sill had us over for pizza and donuts and then we headed to the annual truck-or-treat and a night of trick-or-treating. After trunk-or-treating, Wyatt had not intention of going out door-to-door, he wanted to gut the fish that Colter and dad caught on Strawberry Reservior earlier that morning...he sure is daddy's boy! I was lucky enough to go out with the kids...it was perfect weather to be out trick-or-treating.
