She was so excited and she looked so beautiful. I remember it being really apparent to me how quickly McKenna changed from a primary girl to a young woman and just in the last month, Ashlyn has matured in looks and personality that same way. Ashlyn's personality is so cute...she is confident and cool and so funny! Thursday afternoon she played in her first yw basketball game and had so much fun. Kenna couldn't be at the game because of performing in the school musical and when Ashlyn came home, after telling us how much fun she had she said "all the girls said we needed Kenna...she's a great player, plus last week, I guess they were behind and feeling pretty sad and Kenna said 'let's say a prayer!', so they did and they won!"
New Beginnings was a perfect night. At the end of the program, all the young women stood and sang A Light on a Hill written by Jenny Phillips. I couldn't control my emotions as I watched both of my girls singing this beautiful song. I hope they understand their importance and the light they have within them.
