Conference Weekend in Midway...

We spent general conference weekend in Midway. We had debated whether to stay home and work in the yard to prepare for Colt's upcoming baptism, but with the freshly fallen snow and all the rain we've been getting, there wouldn't be much working in the yard....so Midway called and we answered!
Friday night the kids swam and Garrett got in a little fishing. Then Garrett and I met up with one of his high school friends, Jared and his wife for dinner in Midway. Kenna chose to stay home so she could go to a party with a bunch of her girlfriends. Grandma and grandpa Sill picked her up from the late night party and she spent the night with them and then helped grandma with the Easter egg hunt for her cousins on Saturday. Friday night, after getting settled at grandma's, grandma noticed that Kenna's hoodie and shirt were a little wet, so she tossed them in the dryer for a few minutes...but she forgot to check the pockets and after a few minutes in the heat, the blue lipgloss Kenna had in her jacket pocket got all over her white shirt and white jacket...grandma felt so bad but made amends by taking her to the mall and buying her a new hoodie and shirt. McKenna said it was the funnest! Garrett picked her up after the Priesthood session with his dad and brother.
Conference was great. I loved what Elder Bednar taught...take time for teaching moments with your children, testify to them and teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ.
