My joy is full when my kids are kind to one another...j
ust tonight, McKenna was heading out to a movie with some friends and realized she didn't have enough money to pay for the movie. My cash had run dry, so she asked Colter if she could borrow some of his money. He didn't hesitate, and quickly said "oh, sure...and you don't have to pay me back, just have fun with your friends and tell me about it when you get home." When did he get to be so grown up? I was so touched. Watching him, I had a little insight as to the kind of dad he will one day be...and it made me smile, (Colt, you are one-of-a-kind! Your heart is so generous and good...someday you are going to be the best daddy and husband in the world!)
McKenna was so appreciative. Later she told me that she's going to repay him and then take him to see a movie for his 7th birthday coming up in March. Such a great moment to witness...some days are more of a 'pay-day' than others - today was definitely one of those days.
