A busy week at the La Roca Tournament...and fitting life in in between. Luckily Ashlyn's dance and Colt's football conditioning don't start until next week, plus Colt and Ash have had early out all week and no school on Friday for the 24th so we've been a little more flexible with our time. Ashlyn and Colt either hang out with their friends after school or join us at the soccer field. It's also been so nice to have Kenna home to help with Wyatt whenever I need to run a quick errand...the other morning she woke up and said "Mom, I'm going to play with Wyatt all day today!" and she did.
This tournament is always great because it's so close to home and we usually take first in our age division...this year was no different. Every game was a shut out. No one scored on McKenna and she had quite a few great blocks. She is an awesome goalie with an incredible bunch of girls on defense, including one of her best friends, McKahl B!
Adolfo, the founder of La Roca, came to watch the girls play on Thursday night and commented on what a great goalie she is to some of the other moms who then passed that compliment onto me...pretty cool!
At the awards ceremony, the MLS trophy was on display for the girls to have their pictures taken by...I have to admit it was pretty impressive. Later that night the girls headed down to the ReAL game and the 24th of July fireworks. It was a great day!
