Today, Garrett and Colt were up with the sun to get an early start on the day. We knew we needed to accomplish a lot today. Saturdays with nothing on the schedule are few and far between. The boys changed out sprinkler filters and rearranged some sprinkler lines and found a garter snake in the yard. We eventually joined the boys and worked together all day in the yard planting new bushes out front, weeding, bringing in new bark and laying ground fabric under all the flagstone out back. Around 6:00, after all the hard work and the heat, it began to rain...I found Garrett and Colt on the deck just taking it all in and enjoying the much needed rain. A few minutes later, Ashlyn, Breanne and Colt were off and running through the streets as the rain poured like crazy for about 20 minutes...Wyatt got on his swimming suit and swim shirt to join in the fun. Then a beautiful rainbow appeared! We ended the night setting up dominoes and knocking them down...Ashlyn was on fire and Wyatt loved knocking 'em down. Perfect ending to the day...a perfect summer storm to end a day of hard work and fun. McKenna will be sad she missed all the work :)...she's off on a short vacation to East Canyon Resort with Malorie and her family. Things are a little more quiet without her around...and I sure miss her!
