Friends, Fireworks and ReAL Stadium on the 24th...

What a busy week...the last few days have been spent at the scorching hot soccer fields. McKenna's team didn't do so well in this tournament, a new coach and some new players make for a huge transition and it's pretty noticeable in their playing together as a team. I really like her new coach, Ray, he tells the girls exactly what they are doing right and wrong - he's straight to the point and so far McKenna is stepping up her game. In their first game on Wednesday, she was goalie and had a few amazing saves...one she dove for and I swear looked like a professional goalie...it was amazing! Everyone on the side line gasped and McKenna's friend, Brinley, who plays on the premier team overhead her coach said "we need a goalie like that!" Another save was right against the goal post - she smacked her leg into the post, but saved the ball...she said she felt the pain of hitting the post, but was only worried about saving the ball - what a soccer player! She was pretty proud of herself after that game...and so was her whole team!

scooooore...we had awesome seats for the game, right behind the other teams goal where ReAL scored 4 goals in the second half...it was a great game! After the game we went down onto the field for the fireworks show...I'm so glad we didn't stay home for a quiet night in...being with good friends makes everything so much better!
