The theme this year for Girls Camp was "Live like you believe..." Garrett and I spent Thursday night with the young women and their leaders up at our stake camp, Camp Woodland. We enjoyed a delicious Cafe Rio dinner (much better than the dinners I remember having at girls camp), watched to a stake fireside and then listened as amazing girls with incredible strength shared their testimonies and their love for the Savior. It was a perfect evening sitting around the campfire under the starlit sky...one of my favorite nights from when I was a young woman was definitely testimony meeting. It was a great opportunity for us. To begin the testimony meeting, Garrett spoke and taught us all more about our Savior and bore testimony to us that he is always ready to lift us and save us...a lot like a lifeguard at a swimming pool. He is always on watch.
One of our favorite young women, Jessie...now graduated and ready for college. We think the world of this girl...always have! Since the day her family moved in 8 years ago, she became our favorite babysitter and their family one of our favorites for sure...
Emily, Amy and Jessie...Amy was camp director this year and did an amazing job!
