L.A. Dodgers...

Baseball season is probably Colter's favorite time of the year and McKenna's loving it too because she has been able to see her long lost friend, Kalvin, play ball at the same field. McKenna and Kalvin met in third grade when his mom, Mrs. Mudrow, became McKenna's teacher. Before McKenna's third grade year, Kelly transferred from Lincoln Elementary to at Bluff Ridge, her elementary age kids, Kara and Kalvin tagged along, too. Immediately McKenna and Kalvin became friends and were pretty inseparable that year and the next, along with their friend Hayden. Last year when the new elementary, Buffalo Point, opened, his mom took a teaching job there to be closer to their new home, so, of course Kalvin had to go with her. We miss seeing Kelly and Kalvin as often as we used to, but it's always fun to run into them around town or at baseball and basketball games.
Colter loves to be catcher and he's pretty dang good...this is his third year playing baseball and his first year with machine pitch and he is loving it! The last game of the season, a ball came speeding towards him, high above his head, he lifted his mit and caught it perfectly...nice job #10! Colter is one funny kid - he knows what he like and will always let me know how he feels...one thing I did learn this season was that he does not like me to wash out the grass stains from his baseball pants...he thinks they're a mark of how great he is...the more the better! His friend Seth is the same way, but his friend, Kobe, loves his pants to be perfectly clean. Funny boys! We're now looking forward to golf with these three musketeers!
