Today Colter's class had a walking field trip to Jensen Park and he asked me to tag along. Wyatt spent the day with his buddy, Stryder, so I could just be with Colt.
As soon as the park was in sight, the kids all made a mad dash for the pond...they fished, they raced little yellow duckies down the stream, they were supposed to look for bugs with magnifying glasses...but, instead found bugs to burn, they blew bubbles and ended with a picnic.
On the walk home, a sweet lady turned on her sprinklers for the kids to run through...they were all were drenched, but it made for a perfect walk in the hot sun! Mrs. T is planning a surprise water balloon fight for the last day of school - she really is an amazing teacher...one who's not afraid to get wet, get dirty, dance with the kids during P.E. or run as quick as she can when playing 'duck, duck, goose'.
